Thornlie Baptist Church was founded in 1968 and began with a small group of people meeting in homes. Later land was purchased and buildings were constructed so that there would be a visible presence in the local area.

We believe that the church though is more than bricks and mortar, the church is made up of people who love and worship God because of the gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ (Romans 6:23).
